Since 1996, Dazzle Dance & Cheer has been providing quality programs & services with superior staff and facilities at our national award winning dance studios and cheer & tumbling centers for Muncie, IN and the surrounding areas. We are located just off McGalliard (SR 332). Turn off McGalliard (SR 332) in front of I-Hop. After I-Hop, take immediate Right onto Foxridge Rd. and then turn left onto Briarwood Ln. The Muncie Northwest YMCA is right in our back yard. We are easy to find.


Born to Dance?


Dancing ... a primitive instinct born to humans. Long before man was able to communicate through speech, he did so through signs and body movement. As language developed, expressive movements were adapted as part of the customs of a tribe. The dances continued on and became the foundation of folk dances. Dance and movement have long been known to stimulate the body, mind and spirit. While many modern forms of exercising the body have joined movement and music, the offerings of a dance-based program provide additional benefits. Not the least of these is the social aspect of dance and the value of being able to confidently share the dance experience with others at times of celebration, ritual and recreation.

There are many reasons to learn to dance. Whether you want to increase self-confidence, lose weight, relieve stress, learn dance steps for a special party or wedding, or you just want to have fun, our dance studio has a program for you. All classes at our studio are taught by top professional instructors.



The Benefits of a Dance Program

The following information comes from the world-famous Mayo Foundation for Medical Education & Research: "Dancing can burn as many calories as walking, swimming or riding a bicycle. During a half-hour of sustained dancing you can burn between 200 and 400 calories. It also provides cardiovascular conditioning, which can lead to a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure and an improved cholesterol profile. What's more, the side-to-side movements of many dances strengthen your weight bearing and can help prevent or slow loss of bone mass (osteoporosis). And again, dancing contains a social component that solitary fitness endeavors don't. It gives you an opportunity to develop strong social ties which contribute to self-esteem and a positive outlook."
